Accounts for students under 18
Your date of birth determines whether a parent or guardian invitation is required to register.
If you are under 18, you must register through a valid invitation from a parent or guardian's edsoQ account. Your parent or guardian creates their own account, adds the parent role and sends an invitation from Family. The invitation is single use and expires. Register through that link; your account is linked to the parent or guardian who invited you. Registration for a learner under 18 without a valid invitation is refused.
From your 18th birthday, you may register independently without a parent or guardian invitation, subject to the other account eligibility requirements. Linking an existing student account is a separate process: the parent or guardian sends a link request, and the student must approve it before access is granted. Entering a student's email address does not, on its own, give a parent or guardian access to their learning information.
