What to look for on a teacher profile
A teacher profile helps you compare options.
Review the details of the specific QSquad before joining.
Tiers and colour badges on a profile reflect activity on edsoQ, not teaching quality. The “Identity checked” label means the teacher completed edsoQ’s identity KYC, described below. It does not verify teaching qualifications, accreditation, teaching quality, every profile statement, future conduct or learning outcomes.
- Subjects taught and teaching languages.
- Experience and qualifications the teacher has chosen to publish — edsoQ has not verified them — and whether the teacher shows the “Identity checked” label.
- Teaching approach and intended learner levels.
- Available QSquads, course outlines and schedules.
- Ratings and reviews where available.
Five steps
How to start learning with a teacher
- 1
Create your account when ready
Browse public teacher profiles and QSquads first, and create your account when you choose a QSquad to join. A learner under 18 joins through a parent: the parent creates their own edsoQ account, sends an invitation from Family, and the learner registers with that invitation link. - 2
Explore teachers
Browse public teacher profiles and identify a teacher who offers your subject or learning goal. - 3
Explore their QSquads
Review the syllabus, learning outcomes, session schedule, group size, available places and fees. - 4
Confirm your place
Complete the joining steps, review the amount held from your wallet and confirm. You can leave until joining closes, shortly before the first session. - 5
Attend and participate
Join sessions on time, ask questions and follow the learning plan. Share an honest review based on your experience.
Support for parents
Parents can review public teacher profiles and QSquads before choosing for their child. A new learner under 18 registers through a parent invitation: the parent uses Link a child in their own account and the child signs up with that single-use link, which links the two accounts.
A student who already has an account, of any age, is linked separately: the parent sends an invitation and the student accepts it. Teaching a learner never makes you their parent.

How to get started
1.Create your account
- 1Visit edsoq.com and choose Create account.
- 2Create your account — every account starts as a Student account — and enter the details requested.
- 3Sign in.
- 4Confirm your email address from the link edsoQ sends you.
2.Become a teacher
- 1Open your profile menu and choose Become a teacher.
- 2Complete your teacher profile: add your photo, introduction, subjects, teaching languages, qualifications and experience.
- 3Choose a subscription plan. You receive 6 months free, with unlimited QSquads during the free period.
- 4Complete any steps teacher setup still shows before you start teaching.
Tip: Tell students what you teach, who your lessons suit and what they will learn.
3.Create a QSquad
- 1Open QSquads and choose Create a QSquad, or copy an existing QSquad and edit it.
- 2Enter a clear title, subject and category. Select the teaching language.
- 3Add the learning outcomes, target students, requirements and prerequisites.
- 4Choose the number of students: 1 for an individual class or 2–10 for a group.
- 5Set the date, start time and duration. Check the time zone.
- 6Set the total session fee in Creds. The minimum is 100 Creds per session. Check how much each student will pay.
- 7Review and publish. Share your QSquad link so students can join and pay through edsoQ.
- 8At the scheduled time, open the session and teach your class.
Tips to attract students
- Start with a larger group
- Consider allowing 9 or 10 students while you build your profile. Sharing the cost makes each session more affordable.
- Start at 100 Creds
- A minimum-priced session can help attract students. You can raise the price of future QSquads as your profile becomes established.
- Offer more choices
- Create QSquads for your subject at different times and with different group sizes. More suitable options help students find your classes. Only publish sessions you can teach.
- Save time
- Use Copy and make your own to copy a QSquad, then edit the details before publishing.
- Help students choose
- You can invite students to join your preferred QSquad. Arrange any move before the 24 hours session lock, and only with the student’s agreement.
How much can you earn
The example below uses a 100 Creds total session fee, shared equally by the stated number of paying students.
| Students | Each student pays | Teacher share | Teacher earns | edsoQ earns |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100.00 Creds | 60% | 60 Creds | 40 Creds |
| 2 | 50.00 Creds | 60% | 60 Creds | 40 Creds |
| 3 | 33.33 Creds | 60% | 60 Creds | 40 Creds |
| 4 | 25.00 Creds | 60% | 60 Creds | 40 Creds |
| 5 | 20.00 Creds | 60% | 60 Creds | 40 Creds |
| 6 | 16.67 Creds | 70% | 70 Creds | 30 Creds |
| 7 | 14.29 Creds | 70% | 70 Creds | 30 Creds |
| 8 | 12.50 Creds | 70% | 70 Creds | 30 Creds |
| 9 | 11.11 Creds | 70% | 70 Creds | 30 Creds |
| 10 | 10.00 Creds | 80% | 80 Creds | 20 Creds |
Per-student amounts are rounded for display. The payment screen determines the final allocation. The example assumes the stated number of students have paid.
Formula: teacher earnings = total paid session fee × teacher share.
Example: with 10 paying students and a 100 Creds session fee, each student pays 10 Creds. You earn 80 Creds and edsoQ receives 20 Creds.
Students share the total session cost. For a one-hour session, the earnings shown are also your earnings per hour. For other durations, the hourly amount changes.
Important things to know
- Payments
- Earnings are credited to your edsoQ wallet 24 hours after each completed session. The withdrawal screen shows the amount, the charges and the net amount before you confirm.
- Session lock
- Sessions lock 24 hours before the first session starts. After that, teachers and students cannot cancel. A session the teacher did not attend can be reported, and may lead to penalties after edsoQ reviews it.
- Subscription
- Every teacher starts with six months of free, unlimited QSquads, with no card needed. After that, Basic is free (1 active QSquad), Pro is 10 Creds a month (up to 5), Max is 40 Creds a month (up to 25), Pro Max is 100 Creds a month (up to 100), paid from your wallet. Contact edsoQ for more.
Earnings are examples, not guaranteed income. Actual earnings depend on your session fee, paying students and completed sessions.

Registration on edsoQ is separate from a teacher subscription. Subscription payment does not guarantee bookings, earnings, teaching quality or accreditation. You remain responsible for your profile, teaching content and conduct.
Teaching requirements
- Build your teaching profile
- Describe your subjects, teaching languages, experience, teaching approach and intended learner levels accurately. You are responsible for your listing information, course content and teaching delivery. Only publish qualifications and experience you can substantiate.
- Your teacher subscription
- Teaching access needs your own profile photo and an active teacher subscription, and your free period counts. Every teacher starts with six months of free, unlimited QSquads, with no card needed. After that, Basic is free (1 active QSquad), Pro is 10 Creds a month (up to 5), Max is 40 Creds a month (up to 25), Pro Max is 100 Creds a month (up to 100), paid from your wallet.
- Optional teaching credentials
- You may describe qualifications or experience on your profile. Describe them accurately; adding a credential does not mean edsoQ has verified it. You are responsible for any requirements that apply to the teaching you offer.
- Create structured QSquads
- Add a title, subject, category, teaching language, description, learning outcomes, target students, requirements, prerequisites and the title of each session. Set the group size, minimum enrolment, number of sessions, start date, schedule, total session fee, session length and who can see it.
- Understand your earnings
- Students’ payments are held when joining closes and released to you one session at a time, as each session is taught. There is no teacher deposit. A paid teacher plan is paid in Creds from your wallet. A teacher may withdraw earnings, paid out in US dollars; the withdrawal shows the amount, a breakdown of charges and the net amount before you confirm.
- Teach reliably
- Prepare for sessions, attend on time and support learners respectfully. Follow the edsoQ community guidelines and safeguarding requirements. Joining and leaving close 24 hours before the first session. Students can report a session that was not delivered; an edsoQ reviewer looks at each report and decides what happens.
What “verified” means on edsoQ
- Account verification
- The person submits a photo of an identity document showing their name, document number, expiry and nationality. An edsoQ reviewer checks it against their account details.
- Teacher identity check — “Identity checked”
- No teaching licence, degree or teaching certificate is required. The teacher uses a real photo of themselves as their profile photo and submits a copy of their own original passport or accepted national ID card — the accepted options depend on nationality and issuing country — for edsoQ’s identity KYC. The “Identity checked” label means the teacher completed that identity KYC process. It does not verify teaching qualifications, accreditation, teaching quality, every profile statement, future conduct or learning outcomes. Identity documents are private, are not public profile content and are handled through authorised access under the Privacy Policy.
- Teaching access
- Opening or hosting a QSquad also needs an active teacher subscription — the six-month free period counts — and the current teacher terms accepted. The subscription and identity KYC are separate: a subscription does not verify identity.
- Organisation verification
- The organisation submits its details for review. An organisation’s public page appears only once it is verified.
Verification confirms completion of edsoQ’s stated checks. It does not constitute a rating or guarantee of teaching quality, qualifications, course accreditation or learning outcomes. A teacher subscription is access to platform features, not a professional endorsement.
Verification scope and independent responsibility
Verification refers only to the particular checks described for that verification process. A teacher’s “Identity checked” label means they completed edsoQ’s identity KYC; it does not verify teaching qualifications, and reviewing a submitted identity document is not the same as confirming every statement with an issuer. Neither verification nor a teacher subscription is accreditation, a quality rating, an assurance of authorisation in every jurisdiction or a guarantee of future conduct. Providers must keep submitted details current and must not describe an edsoQ badge as official educational approval.
Teachers and organisations are independently responsible for their profiles, qualifications, affiliations, listings, materials, teaching delivery and conduct. Each user is responsible for their own content and behaviour. Learners and parents should review suitability, syllabus, schedule, price and relevant credentials before joining. edsoQ does not guarantee teaching quality, every user statement, accreditation, future conduct or learning outcomes. edsoQ remains responsible for its own platform processes and any duties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The rules
Consistent payment and participation rules
- Creds
- Creds are payment credits representing confirmed top-ups or eligible platform earnings. One Cred has a value of USD 0.40; top-ups are paid in US dollars at that value, or in another supported currency at the day’s rate. Creds are not reward or rebate points. Attendance, referrals, ratings and course completion do not generate reward Creds. There are no Creds lifetime reward levels or colour multipliers.
- Teacher subscription
- Teaching access requires an approved identity check, the teacher’s own profile photo and an active teacher subscription. The six-month free period is given once, from when a person becomes a teacher (teachers who joined before 21 October 2026 have six months from that date); no card or payment details are needed, and adding or switching roles never restarts it. Custom capacity is agreed with edsoQ. A plan can be chosen and its monthly wallet debit authorised before the free period ends; the first debit is taken when it ends. Fees are paid in Creds from the wallet’s spendable balance only — never pending earnings or reserved funds, and never a partial debit. Reminders start two months before the free period ends. QSquads above a plan’s allowance are On hold — subscription required until a suitable plan is active: nobody can join and the next sessions do not open, while enrolments, the schedule and payments are kept, and the teacher chooses which QSquads continue. Subscription fees are separate from session prices and revenue sharing, a subscription does not verify identity, and there is no teacher deposit.
- Group value and Tax
- The minimum total teaching-session value is 100 Creds for the group, not 100 Creds per learner. The teaching-session value multiplied by the number of sessions is the group course commitment. The learner’s share depends on the participant count at the joining deadline. The maximum reservation, sessions, additional fees, optional items, applicable Tax and final total must be disclosed before confirmation. Tax is shown once in the total; a transaction summary states whether it is included or additional. General website wording does not establish one Tax rate for every country.
- Joining deadline
- Joining and ordinary withdrawal close 24 hours before the first session. Before that deadline a learner may leave and the reservation is released under the payment rules. At the deadline, enrolment is assessed and the disclosed share is charged from the hold; any excess hold is released. If minimum enrolment is not met, the QSquad does not proceed and holds are released. After the deadline, students, parents, teachers and organisations cannot make an ordinary cancellation or removal. Safety restrictions, technical incident handling and remedies for non-delivery are separate processes and do not authorise an undisclosed increase in another learner’s locked payment.
- Provider revenue share
- Provider revenue shares are 60% for 1–5 learners, 70% for 6–9, 80% for 10 and 90% for more than 10. Above-10 QSquads are for authorised organisations only; an individual teacher’s QSquad is limited to 10 learners. The provider payment summary must identify the sharing basis, participant-count lock, treatment of Tax and pass-through charges, and any deductions before the provider confirms the arrangement. A revenue share is not a guarantee of bookings, earnings or availability for withdrawal.
- Withdrawal charges
- The current withdrawal service charge is 5% of the withdrawn amount plus applicable Tax on that charge, separately from the provider revenue share. The net payout is paid in US dollars at USD 0.40 per Cred. Pending, reserved or disputed funds are not necessarily available for withdrawal. Payment summaries must show the gross amount, deductions and net payout; neither income nor payout dates are guaranteed.
- Before you confirm
- Before confirming, review the final amount and any disclosed rounding adjustment. The total must reconcile with the transaction record; no undisclosed charge may exceed the maximum hold accepted by the payer.
- If a teacher does not attend
- If a teacher has not joined when a session is due to start, report the session through its reporting option or Support; use the public Contact form if you cannot sign in. Include the scheduled time and time zone, the session reference and what occurred. Attendance records, participant information and any relevant technical incident may be considered. A report alone does not establish fault. Disputed earnings may be held pending review. The decision may provide an eligible refund for the undelivered part, or a replacement session accepted by the affected learner, according to the applicable terms and rights. A learner need not accept an undisclosed replacement or pay again merely to report non-delivery.
- Provider non-attendance
- Confirmed provider non-attendance may lead to an account warning, corrective steps, temporary restrictions on hosting or publishing, or suspension or termination for serious or repeated failures. The response depends on the evidence, seriousness, previous incidents and applicable rules. Refund adjustments concern the affected transaction; no automatic monetary fine or fixed penalty amount is established by this text. A provider may submit relevant evidence and request review through Support.
