Understand your costs before you join

A teacher sets what the whole group pays for each session. The learners enrolled when joining closes share it equally, so the more people join, the less each one pays — and you never pay more than the amount held when you joined.

The model

How a QSquad is priced

Every QSquad on a listing is priced the same way. Capacity and minimum enrolment are two different numbers.

Group session value

What the whole group pays for one 60-minute session, set by the teacher from 100 Creds in steps of 10 Creds.

Total course commitment

The group session value × the number of sessions. It is shared by the learners enrolled when joining closes.

Capacity and minimum enrolment

An individual teacher’s group holds up to 10 learners. Above-10 groups require an authorised organisation arrangement. Each QSquad also sets a minimum enrolment; below it, the QSquad does not run.

Your share only goes down

The amount held is the total course commitment divided by the minimum enrolment. Every learner who joins after you lowers what each person pays.

Worked example

One QSquad, from listing to settlement

A group session value of 100 Creds for the whole group, over 10 sessions, for a group of 5 with a minimum enrolment of 2. 1 Cred = USD 0.40.

Timing

The hold, the joining deadline and held funds

  1. 1

    When you join

edsoQ holds the most you could owe: the total course commitment ÷ the minimum enrolment (500 Creds in the example), plus any additional fees listed and an optional donation if you add one. The hold is reserved in your wallet, not spent.
  2. 2

    Until the deadline

You can leave at any time until joining closes, 24 hours before the first session, and your hold is released in full.
  3. 3

Joining closes 24 hours before the first session

The total is divided equally between the learners enrolled at that moment. Each pays their share from the hold and the rest of the hold is released. If fewer than the minimum have enrolled, the QSquad is cancelled and every hold is released in full. The whole course is settled at this one deadline; later sessions do not close separately.
  4. 4

    As each session is taught

Learner payments are held by edsoQ; eligible session earnings are recorded under the provider terms and remain subject to availability, disputes and payout conditions.
Each QSquad page shows the exact date and time joining and leaving close, in your own time zone.
Keep enough Creds in your wallet to cover the hold when you join.

QSquads are created and delivered by independent teachers and organisations. Providers are responsible for their listing information, course content and teaching delivery. Students and parents are responsible for reviewing the provider, syllabus, suitability, schedule, fees and terms before joining. edsoQ facilitates discovery and participation and does not guarantee teaching quality, accreditation or learning outcomes.

Check on every listing

  • The group session value and the number of sessions.
  • The total course commitment for the whole group.
  • The group's capacity and its minimum enrolment.
  • The most you could pay, which is the amount held when you join.
  • Any additional fees the provider lists, each charged to every learner.
  • The schedule in your own time zone, and when joining and leaving close.

Beyond the session value

Additional fees, donations and Tax

Additional fees

A provider may list additional fees, such as materials. Each says whether it is per learner or shared by the group, and whether it is optional. They are included in your hold and collected when joining closes.

Optional donation

You may add a donation when you join. It is included in your hold and collected when joining closes.

Tax

Applicable Tax is identified in the payment summary before you confirm, with its rate, amount and whether it is included or additional. There is no registration fee.

Wallet

Pay with Creds from your edsoQ wallet

Every balance and QSquad price on edsoQ is in Creds. 1 Cred = USD 0.40. Teacher plans are Creds too, paid from the wallet.

Students and parents

Add funds to your wallet by card, in US dollars or your own currency at the day’s rate, and receive the Creds shown. The smallest top-up is 500 Creds. Creds cannot be withdrawn as cash. A parent pays for the seats of a learner under 18.

Teachers

Teachers do not need to add funds; there is no teacher deposit, and a teacher's first months are free with no card. Eligible session earnings are recorded in your wallet under the provider terms; available earnings may be requested for payout, paid in US dollars at the Cred’s value, subject to verification and payout conditions.

Organisations

An organisation has its own wallet, separate from its members'. Its earnings can be withdrawn and are paid out in US dollars.

Withdrawing earnings

A teacher's earnings for a QSquad are released one session at a time, as each session is taught, and the earnings statement in the wallet shows each one.

Earnings are paid out in US dollars at USD 0.40 per Cred. A withdrawal shows the amount, a breakdown of charges and the net amount you receive. The charges are a 5% service charge on the amount withdrawn plus Tax on that charge (5% in this illustrative example only): on 1,000 Creds, 50 Creds plus 2.50 Creds, so 947.50 Creds is paid out: USD 379.00.

Provider revenue share

The provider's share of a QSquad's session value depends on how many learners are enrolled when joining closes. Groups above an individual teacher's largest size are for authorised organisations only.

This share is separate from the withdrawal service charge above. A revenue share is not a guarantee of bookings, earnings or availability for withdrawal.

Provider revenue share by learners enrolled when joining closes
Learners enrolledProvider shareWhy edsoQ keeps a share

The rest of a QSquad’s value pays for running it: the live classroom, holding every student’s payment until joining closes and settling it after, refunds when a session is not taught, safeguarding and reports, support, and bringing students to your QSquad.

Most of that costs the same for every session, however many learners join. In a small group it is shared by fewer people, so edsoQ keeps more of the value; as the group grows, the cost is spread further and more of the value goes to the provider.

The schedule also rewards fuller groups: they let each student pay less and earn the provider more.

Contact edsoQ

Plans are priced in Creds and paid from the wallet, like everything else on edsoQ. The subscription is separate from session prices, revenue sharing and withdrawals, and its fee never comes out of pending earnings. A subscription does not guarantee bookings or earnings and does not verify identity — identity KYC is a separate step.

If plans change

Leaving, cancellations and missed sessions

Leaving before the deadline

Leave any time until 24 hours before the first session and your hold is released in full. After joining closes you cannot leave through the normal enrolment process.

Below the minimum

If the minimum enrolment is not reached when joining closes, the QSquad is cancelled, nothing is charged and every hold is released in full.

If a teacher does not attend

Report it when the session is due to begin. edsoQ investigates; refunds go back to your wallet as Creds. The Refund Policy sets out the details.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I see prices before signing up?
Yes. Every public QSquad shows its group session value, the number of sessions and what each learner pays. You need an account to join.
Will my price change if more learners join?
Only downwards. You never pay more than the amount held when you joined. The more learners enrolled when joining closes, the less each one pays.
What if the QSquad does not reach its minimum enrolment?
It is cancelled when joining closes, nothing is charged and every hold is released in full.
Is there a registration fee?
No. Creating an account and adding a role are free, and so is a teacher's free period. Every teacher starts with six months of free, unlimited QSquads, with no card needed. After that, Basic is free (1 active QSquad), Pro is 10 Creds a month (up to 5), Max is 40 Creds a month (up to 25), Pro Max is 100 Creds a month (up to 100), paid from your wallet.
Is the teacher subscription paid in Creds?
Yes. After the free period a paid plan is debited monthly in Creds from the wallet's spendable balance — never from pending earnings or money reserved for a seat, and never in part. No card is needed, and there is no currency conversion. The subscription is separate from session prices, revenue sharing and withdrawals.
What happens when the free period ends?
You are reminded two calendar months ahead. If you chose and authorised a plan, it starts then. QSquads above your plan's allowance are put on hold — nobody can join and their next sessions do not open — until a plan covers them; you choose which continue. Basic is always free.
Is Tax included?
Applicable Tax is identified in the payment summary before you confirm, with its rate, amount and whether it is included or additional.
Can I withdraw unused Creds?
Students and parents cannot withdraw Creds as cash. A released hold and any refund go back to your wallet as Creds, ready for your next QSquad.
Where do teachers see the withdrawal charges?
On the withdrawal screen: the amount, a breakdown of charges and the net amount, before you confirm.

The rules

Consistent payment and participation rules

Creds
Creds are payment credits representing confirmed top-ups or eligible platform earnings. One Cred has a value of USD 0.40; top-ups are paid in US dollars at that value, or in another supported currency at the day’s rate. Creds are not reward or rebate points. Attendance, referrals, ratings and course completion do not generate reward Creds. There are no Creds lifetime reward levels or colour multipliers.
Teacher subscription
Teaching access requires an approved identity check, the teacher’s own profile photo and an active teacher subscription. The six-month free period is given once, from when a person becomes a teacher (teachers who joined before 21 October 2026 have six months from that date); no card or payment details are needed, and adding or switching roles never restarts it. Custom capacity is agreed with edsoQ. A plan can be chosen and its monthly wallet debit authorised before the free period ends; the first debit is taken when it ends. Fees are paid in Creds from the wallet’s spendable balance only — never pending earnings or reserved funds, and never a partial debit. Reminders start two months before the free period ends. QSquads above a plan’s allowance are On hold — subscription required until a suitable plan is active: nobody can join and the next sessions do not open, while enrolments, the schedule and payments are kept, and the teacher chooses which QSquads continue. Subscription fees are separate from session prices and revenue sharing, a subscription does not verify identity, and there is no teacher deposit.
Group value and Tax
The minimum total teaching-session value is 100 Creds for the group, not 100 Creds per learner. The teaching-session value multiplied by the number of sessions is the group course commitment. The learner’s share depends on the participant count at the joining deadline. The maximum reservation, sessions, additional fees, optional items, applicable Tax and final total must be disclosed before confirmation. Tax is shown once in the total; a transaction summary states whether it is included or additional. General website wording does not establish one Tax rate for every country.
Joining deadline
Joining and ordinary withdrawal close 24 hours before the first session. Before that deadline a learner may leave and the reservation is released under the payment rules. At the deadline, enrolment is assessed and the disclosed share is charged from the hold; any excess hold is released. If minimum enrolment is not met, the QSquad does not proceed and holds are released. After the deadline, students, parents, teachers and organisations cannot make an ordinary cancellation or removal. Safety restrictions, technical incident handling and remedies for non-delivery are separate processes and do not authorise an undisclosed increase in another learner’s locked payment.
Provider revenue share
Provider revenue shares are 60% for 1–5 learners, 70% for 6–9, 80% for 10 and 90% for more than 10. Above-10 QSquads are for authorised organisations only; an individual teacher’s QSquad is limited to 10 learners. The provider payment summary must identify the sharing basis, participant-count lock, treatment of Tax and pass-through charges, and any deductions before the provider confirms the arrangement. A revenue share is not a guarantee of bookings, earnings or availability for withdrawal.
Withdrawal charges
The current withdrawal service charge is 5% of the withdrawn amount plus applicable Tax on that charge, separately from the provider revenue share. The net payout is paid in US dollars at USD 0.40 per Cred. Pending, reserved or disputed funds are not necessarily available for withdrawal. Payment summaries must show the gross amount, deductions and net payout; neither income nor payout dates are guaranteed.
Before you confirm
Before confirming, review the final amount and any disclosed rounding adjustment. The total must reconcile with the transaction record; no undisclosed charge may exceed the maximum hold accepted by the payer.
If a teacher does not attend
If a teacher has not joined when a session is due to start, report the session through its reporting option or Support; use the public Contact form if you cannot sign in. Include the scheduled time and time zone, the session reference and what occurred. Attendance records, participant information and any relevant technical incident may be considered. A report alone does not establish fault. Disputed earnings may be held pending review. The decision may provide an eligible refund for the undelivered part, or a replacement session accepted by the affected learner, according to the applicable terms and rights. A learner need not accept an undisclosed replacement or pay again merely to report non-delivery.
Provider non-attendance
Confirmed provider non-attendance may lead to an account warning, corrective steps, temporary restrictions on hosting or publishing, or suspension or termination for serious or repeated failures. The response depends on the evidence, seriousness, previous incidents and applicable rules. Refund adjustments concern the affected transaction; no automatic monetary fine or fixed penalty amount is established by this text. A provider may submit relevant evidence and request review through Support.
