QSquads

Your Subject. Your Teacher. Your Learning Community.

A QSquad is a learning group on edsoQ that brings students and a teacher together around a subject, course or learning goal. Explore what you will study, who will teach you, when sessions take place and how much it costs—all before creating an account.

The idea

What is a QSquad?

A QSquad gives your learning a clear structure: a teacher, a learning plan, a schedule and a place to connect.

You can join a QSquad for school subjects, exam preparation, languages, professional skills and more. Some QSquads focus on a single topic, while others offer a series of sessions covering a complete course.

Each QSquad has its own learning outcomes, teaching language, group capacity and fees. Check these details to find one that suits you.

  • A teacher

Someone who leads every session and knows the subject.
  • A learning plan

Topics and outcomes you can read before you join.
  • A schedule

Fixed one-hour sessions on dates you can plan around.
  • A place to connect

Learners working towards the same goal together.

Four steps

How do QSquads work?

From finding a subject to your first session.
  1. 01

    Find your learning goal

Browse by subject or category. Compare the teaching language, schedule, teacher and available places.
  2. 02

    Get to know the QSquad

Read the description, syllabus and learning outcomes. Review the teacher’s profile and the fees before deciding.
  3. 03

    Join your chosen QSquad

Create an edsoQ account or log in, complete the joining steps and confirm the amount held from your wallet.
  4. 04

    Learn and participate

Attend scheduled sessions, ask questions and use the QSquad’s learning space to access shared materials, discussions and assignments where provided.

Formats

Learn individually or together

Choose the learning format that suits your needs. Group learning allows participants to share the session cost; the fee payable by each learner is displayed on the QSquad page.
  • Individual learning

    Focused sessions for one student.
  • Pair learning

    Learn alongside another student.
  • Group learning

Join other learners working towards the same goal.
  • Organisation-led learning

For learners

How to join a QSquad

  1. 1

    Explore

Find a subject, course or learning goal that interests you.
  2. 2

    Review the details

Check everything in the list beside this before you commit.
  3. 3

    Sign up or log in

Create your edsoQ account when you are ready to join. If you already have an account, log in to continue.
  4. 4

    Confirm your place

Follow the joining steps and confirm. edsoQ holds the most you could owe in your wallet; at the joining deadline the total is shared between everyone enrolled, so your price can only go down as more people join.
  5. 5

    Get ready to learn

Open your QSquad from your account, check the schedule and join your session on time.

Before joining, check

  • What you will learn and any entry requirements.
  • Who will teach you.
  • The teaching language.
  • Session dates, times, duration and time zone.
  • The number of sessions and available places.
  • Your fees and the applicable joining and cancellation terms.

For teachers and organisations

How to create a QSquad

Have a subject to teach or a learning group to organise? Create a QSquad with a clear purpose and schedule.
  1. 01

    Start teacher setup

From your own account, start teacher setup: teaching details with a photo of yourself, identity KYC with an accepted identity document, and enrolling in the free subscription — six months of unlimited QSquads, no card. Organisations’ teachers meet the same requirements.
  2. 02

    Describe your QSquad

Add a title, subject, category, teaching language, course image and description. Explain who it is for and what learners will achieve.
  3. 03

    Build the learning plan

Add the topics, learning outcomes, entry requirements and any materials learners should prepare.
  4. 04

    Set the format and schedule

Choose the group size, minimum enrolment, number of sessions, start date, session times and how long each session is.
  5. 05

    Review the fees and visibility

Set the group session value — what the whole group pays per session. Choose public visibility for discovery, or private for people you share the link with.
  6. 06

    Publish and invite

Review your details, publish and share your QSquad’s link.
Anybody 18 or over can create a QSquad and publish it as a request looking for a teacher; only a teacher whose identity KYC is approved and who has enrolled in their teacher subscription — free during the free period — can teach one. No teaching licence or degree is needed.

What “verified” means on edsoQ

Account verification
The person submits a photo of an identity document showing their name, document number, expiry and nationality. An edsoQ reviewer checks it against their account details.
Teacher identity check — “Identity checked”
No teaching licence, degree or teaching certificate is required. The teacher uses a real photo of themselves as their profile photo and submits a copy of their own original passport or accepted national ID card — the accepted options depend on nationality and issuing country — for edsoQ’s identity KYC. The “Identity checked” label means the teacher completed that identity KYC process. It does not verify teaching qualifications, accreditation, teaching quality, every profile statement, future conduct or learning outcomes. Identity documents are private, are not public profile content and are handled through authorised access under the Privacy Policy.
Teaching access
Opening or hosting a QSquad also needs an active teacher subscription — the six-month free period counts — and the current teacher terms accepted. The subscription and identity KYC are separate: a subscription does not verify identity.
Organisation verification
The organisation submits its details for review. An organisation’s public page appears only once it is verified.

Verification confirms completion of edsoQ’s stated checks. It does not constitute a rating or guarantee of teaching quality, qualifications, course accreditation or learning outcomes. A teacher subscription is access to platform features, not a professional endorsement.

Know what you are joining

Five questions every QSquad page answers

Before you sign up, a public QSquad page should help you answer:
  • Is this right for me?

Read the course description, intended audience, learning outcomes and requirements.
  • Who is teaching?

Explore the teacher’s public profile, experience and available reviews.
  • Can I attend?

Check the full schedule, session duration and time zone.
  • What will I pay?

Review the group session value, the number of sessions, the most you could pay and any listed additional fees.
  • Is there a place available?

Check the group capacity and remaining places. Member information is shown according to privacy settings.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Something else on your mind? Visit the help centre.
Do I need an account to explore QSquads?
You can browse public QSquads and review their information before signing up. An account is required to join or create one.
Can I join without inviting other students?
Yes. You can join a public QSquad with an available place without organising the group yourself.
Can I learn with people I already know?
Yes. Share a public QSquad with friends, or use an invitation link to access a private QSquad.
Are all QSquads the same price?
No. Each teacher sets a group session value — what the whole group pays per one-hour session. The total is shared between the students enrolled when joining closes, so a one-to-one QSquad costs you the whole value and a group shares it. See Pricing for a worked example.
Can a parent help a student?
Yes. A new learner under 18 joins through a parent invitation: the parent uses Link a child in their own account, and the child registers with that link. A student who already has an account, of any age, can accept a parent’s connection request. A connected parent books and pays for the student’s places; the student is the learner.
When do joining and leaving close?
They close 24 hours before the first session. Until then you can leave and the amount held is released in full. At the deadline your share is taken from the hold and the rest is released; if fewer than the minimum have enrolled, the QSquad is cancelled and every hold is released.
What if the teacher does not attend?
Report it as soon as the session is due to begin — signed in, open a ticket from Support; signed out, use the Contact form. An edsoQ reviewer looks at the report, decides what happens and lets you know. The refund policy explains the steps.

The rules

Consistent payment and participation rules

Creds
Creds are payment credits representing confirmed top-ups or eligible platform earnings. One Cred has a value of USD 0.40; top-ups are paid in US dollars at that value, or in another supported currency at the day’s rate. Creds are not reward or rebate points. Attendance, referrals, ratings and course completion do not generate reward Creds. There are no Creds lifetime reward levels or colour multipliers.
Teacher subscription
Teaching access requires an approved identity check, the teacher’s own profile photo and an active teacher subscription. Every teacher starts with six months of free, unlimited QSquads, with no card needed. After that, Basic is free (1 active QSquad), Pro is 10 Creds a month (up to 5), Max is 40 Creds a month (up to 25), Pro Max is 100 Creds a month (up to 100), paid from your wallet. The six-month free period is given once, from when a person becomes a teacher (teachers who joined before 21 October 2026 have six months from that date); no card or payment details are needed, and adding or switching roles never restarts it. Custom capacity is agreed with edsoQ. A plan can be chosen and its monthly wallet debit authorised before the free period ends; the first debit is taken when it ends. Fees are paid in Creds from the wallet’s spendable balance only — never pending earnings or reserved funds, and never a partial debit. Reminders start two months before the free period ends. QSquads above a plan’s allowance are On hold — subscription required until a suitable plan is active: nobody can join and the next sessions do not open, while enrolments, the schedule and payments are kept, and the teacher chooses which QSquads continue. Subscription fees are separate from session prices and revenue sharing, a subscription does not verify identity, and there is no teacher deposit.
Group value and Tax
The minimum total teaching-session value is 100 Creds for the group, not 100 Creds per learner. The teaching-session value multiplied by the number of sessions is the group course commitment. The learner’s share depends on the participant count at the joining deadline. The maximum reservation, sessions, additional fees, optional items, applicable Tax and final total must be disclosed before confirmation. Tax is shown once in the total; a transaction summary states whether it is included or additional. General website wording does not establish one Tax rate for every country.
Joining deadline
Joining and ordinary withdrawal close 24 hours before the first session. Before that deadline a learner may leave and the reservation is released under the payment rules. At the deadline, enrolment is assessed and the disclosed share is charged from the hold; any excess hold is released. If minimum enrolment is not met, the QSquad does not proceed and holds are released. After the deadline, students, parents, teachers and organisations cannot make an ordinary cancellation or removal. Safety restrictions, technical incident handling and remedies for non-delivery are separate processes and do not authorise an undisclosed increase in another learner’s locked payment.
Provider revenue share
Provider revenue shares are 60% for 1–5 learners, 70% for 6–9, 80% for 10 and 90% for more than 10. Above-10 QSquads are for authorised organisations only; an individual teacher’s QSquad is limited to 10 learners. The provider payment summary must identify the sharing basis, participant-count lock, treatment of Tax and pass-through charges, and any deductions before the provider confirms the arrangement. A revenue share is not a guarantee of bookings, earnings or availability for withdrawal.
Withdrawal charges
The current withdrawal service charge is 5% of the withdrawn amount plus applicable Tax on that charge, separately from the provider revenue share. The net payout is paid in US dollars at USD 0.40 per Cred. Pending, reserved or disputed funds are not necessarily available for withdrawal. Payment summaries must show the gross amount, deductions and net payout; neither income nor payout dates are guaranteed.
Before you confirm
Before confirming, review the final amount and any disclosed rounding adjustment. The total must reconcile with the transaction record; no undisclosed charge may exceed the maximum hold accepted by the payer.
If a teacher does not attend
If a teacher has not joined when a session is due to start, report the session through its reporting option or Support; use the public Contact form if you cannot sign in. Include the scheduled time and time zone, the session reference and what occurred. Attendance records, participant information and any relevant technical incident may be considered. A report alone does not establish fault. Disputed earnings may be held pending review. The decision may provide an eligible refund for the undelivered part, or a replacement session accepted by the affected learner, according to the applicable terms and rights. A learner need not accept an undisclosed replacement or pay again merely to report non-delivery.
Provider non-attendance
Confirmed provider non-attendance may lead to an account warning, corrective steps, temporary restrictions on hosting or publishing, or suspension or termination for serious or repeated failures. The response depends on the evidence, seriousness, previous incidents and applicable rules. Refund adjustments concern the affected transaction; no automatic monetary fine or fixed penalty amount is established by this text. A provider may submit relevant evidence and request review through Support.
