The "Identity checked" badge
It means the teacher completed edsoQ's identity KYC. It does not verify qualifications, teaching quality or outcomes.
What the badge means
Badge: Identity checked. This label means the teacher completed edsoQ's stated identity KYC process: a real photo of themselves as their profile photo and a copy of their own original passport or accepted national ID card, reviewed by edsoQ.
What it does not mean
It does not verify teaching qualifications, accreditation, teaching quality, every profile statement, future conduct or learning outcomes. A teacher subscription is access to platform features, not a professional endorsement. Qualifications a teacher lists are their own statements; edsoQ has not verified them.
Before choosing a teacher
Teachers and organisations are independently responsible for their profiles, qualifications, affiliations, listings, materials, teaching delivery and conduct. Learners and parents should review suitability, syllabus, schedule, price and relevant credentials before joining. edsoQ does not guarantee teaching quality, every user statement, accreditation, future conduct or learning outcomes. edsoQ remains responsible for its own platform processes and any duties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Report concerns
Report suspected impersonation, false qualifications or misleading accreditation through the reporting option or Support. Include the profile or listing reference and do not publish private identity documents as evidence.
