Getting teaching access

No teaching licence or degree is needed: complete identity KYC with your own photo and an accepted ID, then subscribe and add a card.

You do not need a teaching licence or degree

No teaching licence, degree or teaching certificate is required for platform registration. You must meet the account eligibility rules (the teacher role is for adults), provide your own profile photo and an accepted identity document, complete identity KYC, and enrol in the teacher subscription with a saved card. You are responsible for any requirements that apply to the teaching services you offer.

Steps

1. Add the teacher role. 2. Complete your profile and upload a photo of yourself. 3. Select your nationality and accepted identity-document type. 4. Upload your own original national ID card or passport copy and submit KYC. 5. Select Basic, review its schedule and terms, click Subscribe and add your card. 6. Start teaching when identity KYC and all teaching-access requirements are complete.

Photo and identity document

Profile photo: upload a clear photo of yourself. This is your teacher profile image; no separate portrait or selfie upload is required.

Identity document: upload a clear copy of your own original passport or accepted national ID. The accepted options depend on nationality and issuing country. This document is private and is used for identity KYC; it is not public profile content.

Teaching credentials: optional. Describe any qualifications or experience accurately. Adding a credential does not mean edsoQ has verified it.

While identity KYC is reviewed

Your account shows where the check has reached. While it is under review you can prepare your profile, but teaching access is not active yet. If a correction is needed, upload the accepted document again from your account; do not send your ID through chat or public comments.

The subscription

Basic is free through 30 June 2027, then USD 5 per month from 1 July 2027. Click Subscribe and add a payment card to enrol, even during the free period. Plan 2 and Plan 3 are Coming soon. Card setup, subscription and identity KYC are separate: saving a card does not verify you, and teaching access requires every step. There is no teacher deposit, and adding a card does not fund your wallet.

What "Identity checked" means

The label means you completed edsoQ's identity KYC. It does not verify teaching qualifications, accreditation, teaching quality, every profile statement, future conduct or learning outcomes. Registration on edsoQ is separate from a teacher subscription, and a subscription does not guarantee bookings, earnings, teaching quality or accreditation. You remain responsible for your profile, teaching content and conduct.
