Parent and Guardian Consent

A guardian's authority, and how a linked student's information is processed.

Version 2Draft, effective 16 October 2026

edsoQ is operated by [Operator legal entity — to be confirmed], whose registered address is [Registered address — to be confirmed].

Who may give this consent

Only a parent or guardian with appropriate authority may give consent for the learner where consent is required. Providing false authority or another person’s details is prohibited.

Age and invitation

A learner under 18 must register through a valid single-use parent or guardian invitation. From the learner’s 18th birthday, independent registration is permitted without that invitation, subject to other account eligibility requirements. A new invited learner is linked to the inviting parent or guardian. Linking an existing account requires the student’s approval before parent access is granted.

Processing for the linked service

Relevant information may be processed to establish the learner account and parent link, manage permitted access, administer sessions, attendance, marks, payments, support and safeguarding. The Privacy Policy describes the broader processing purposes, recipients and rights.

Access and limits

A new account created through a valid invitation is linked to its inviting parent or guardian. Access to an existing learner account requires the student’s approval. Permission to support learning is not blanket permission to disclose the learner’s information publicly or to record sessions contrary to applicable rules.

Separate choices

This consent does not by itself authorise advertising, unrestricted publication of a learner’s image, off-platform contact or recording. Any separate consent or lawful basis required for another purpose must be addressed for that purpose.

Changing consent or authority

Contact Support if authority changes, a link is incorrect, or you wish to withdraw consent for consent-based processing. Withdrawal may affect access to the linked feature but does not retrospectively invalidate lawful processing already carried out or require deletion of records still needed for applicable obligations.

Questions and requests

Contact support@edsoq.com or use edsoq.com/contact. Include the relevant account, QSquad, session or transaction reference. Do not send passwords, one-time codes or full payment-card details. A request does not guarantee a particular decision or processing time. Rights and duties that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
